Cookie Brittle
Cookie brittle is a particularly great hack for the holidays or any time you’re entertaining when you don’t have time or the oven space to bake multiple trays of cookies.
Ingreadient:
- 1 c. (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted, cooled
- 1 c. (215 g.) packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 2 c. (240 g.) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
Direction
- Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, whisk butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until combined. Add flour and salt and stir with a wooden spoon to combine. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Spread dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Pat into a thin, even layer with your hands (the dough may not go all the way to the edge).
- Bake brittle until golden brown all over, 18 to 20 minutes. Let cool, then break into pieces.
