Homemade Guacamole
I always judge a Tex-Mex restaurant by its guacamole. And although it's simple to prepare, it can go wrong oh, so easily. I've spent many years perfecting mine, to the point where I think it's better than most restaurants
Ingreadient:
- 3 medium ripe avocados, peeled and cubed
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 to 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
- 2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped, optional
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise, optional
Direction
- Mash avocados with garlic and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients, adding tomatoes and mayonnaise if desired.
